In the written sources, Buivydžiai are mentioned from the 16th century. In Buivydžiai town, there was a Manor, which belonged to Brzostowski family. In 1653, the Brzostowski family transferred the lands to Augustine Monks from Mikoliškės, but in 1782 these lands were returned to Brzostowski family. Michał Radziszewski when marrying Brzostowski sister received Buivydžiai as a dowry. M. Radziszewski on the hill of Buivydžiai constructed a mansion. In the 19th century, they were demolished and neither rubble remained. During 19-20th centuries, a small wooden manor’s homestead was rebuilt, which was the property of the Poland’s member of the Parliament Wacław Makowski. From the oldest times, Buivydžiai from all other areas of Vilnius region, distinguish themselves with exceptional Polish language dialect.
