Stanisław Morawski

In 1802, in Mickūnai, doctor, writer and ethnographer Stanisław Morawski was born. Mickūnai Manor belonged to his mother Marianna z Siemaszków Morawska. While studying in Vilnius University, S. Morawski was acquaintance of Adam Mickiewicz and Tomasz Zan. He belonged to the fellowships of philomaths and philarets, the masons. Stanisław Morawski was writing plenty, created political writings, dramas, memoirs and medical articles. He died in 1853, in Jundėliškės.
