The first prayer house of Orthodox Christians in Žemaitėliai was being constructed in 1914, however, the World War I stopped the constructions. After the war, Orthodox Christians prayed in private homes. ~ 1928, Orthodox Christians prayer house was built from wood, had a rectangle design with turrets. After World War II, the temple was damaged; in 1990, the community conducted repair works. The temple gathers local residents, but is active only during the biggest Orthodox Christians holidays.
