Nemėžis mosque and cemetery

The first mosque in Nemėžis was built in 1684, however, it burned down in 1909, but was rebuilt in accordance to A. Soninas project and is standing till today. After the end of World War II, the landscape museum was established in the mosque; the mosque was returned to the believers only in 1978. Prayers in Nemėžis mosque are had only on Fridays when the moon is young. Near the mosque there is an old Tartar cemetery called mizaras.
