Marian Zdziechowski

Marian Zdziechowski was born in 1861. From 1925 to 1927 was the rector of University of Stephen Báthory, during the inter-war period he lived in Sudervė Manor. Czesław Miłosz and Lech Beynar heard the lectures of Zdziechowski. After Józef Piłsudski arrived in Vilnius in 1926, he offered the office of President to M. Zdziechowski, but the latter refused. M. Zdziechowski died in 1938 and was buried in Antakalnis cemetery.
