Hillfort of Naujoji Rėva
Naujoji Rėva, Lithuania
Since the start of the second millennium, people settled here. The hillfort was constructed on a tall headland of Neris coast. From the southern side, the hillfort is protected by Neris and from the eastern and western sides – ravines. The remaining hillfort yard is separated from the nearby hills by a cone shape mound and 6 m depth ditch. At the foot of the hillfort, the archeologist uncovered the remains of an ancient settlement. The view of the Sviliškiai landscape sanctuary opens up from the hillfort.
