Traditions of harvesting

Harvesting happened on the month of August; all of family and neighbors participated. The female harvester gifted the landlord a bouquet of grain – a symbol of work completion. After works were completed, people sang; the best female harvester gifted the landlords a grain garland. The landlords treated all of the workers. In accordance to the old tradition, the landlord was rolled around the field in order for the next year’s harvest to be good.
