Medininkai harvest holiday

Among villages and towns of Vilnius region, Medininkai harvest holiday is the most plentiful. The holiday is organized in Medininkai castle court; often, known performers are invited and charity events organized. The holiday starts with Holy Mass, gifts are offered: bread, honey, dairy products, fruits, vegetables and traditional harvest holiday garland. After the Holy Mass, the procession from the church travels to the castle court; the stands are consecrated and concert begins. The often guest of it is Katažina Zvonkuvienė – Lithuanian stage star, who was born in the environs of Medininkai.
